ONDER MOUNTAIN STRING BAND with support from EAST NASH GRASS

Annie's Music Center is proud to welcome YONDER MOUNTAIN STRING BAND to Cincinnati on Saturday, August 1st, with support from EAST NASH GRASS!

Two of the most exciting names in modern bluegrass. One unforgettable night of picking, harmonies, and pure acoustic magic.
🎸 YONDER MOUNTAIN STRING BAND
Grammy-nominated Yonder Mountain String Band set the tone for a new way forward in acoustic music, carrying bluegrass into rooms and conversations it had never reached before. Nearly three decades later, that same spirit still guides them, alive and present on Good As True (2026), the band's 12th studio album, arriving March 27th, 2026.

The record captures Yonder in full stride. It's unguarded and in motion, preserving the spark of musicians playing in real time and leaning into everything they have learned along the way. Good As True digs into communication, the conversations that carry us forward, the ones that fall apart, and everything in between.

Across eight original tracks co-written by Adam Aijala (guitar, vocals), Dave Johnston (banjo, vocals), Ben Kaufmann (bass, vocals), and Nick Piccininni (mandolin, vocals), and brought to life by the full five-piece lineup including fiddle player Coleman Smith, the album reflects a band writing from inside their own history, relationships, and the world around them. The songs move between drive, reflection, humor, and weight. Forward-looking and fully alive, it's a reminder that Yonder Mountain String Band's story is still unfolding.
🎻 EAST NASH GRASS
East Nash Grass exemplifies the best of what bluegrass has to offer, as being named the 2024 IBMA New Artist of the Year would suggest. But their breathtaking talent as singers, instrumentalists, and composers is just the beginning. While other acts chase their tail in search of nostalgia, the secret to East Nash Grass lies in their unflinching ability to be themselves.

A veritable supergroup of award-winners with a lifetime of experience in both new and legacy acts (Dan Tyminski, Tim O'Brien, Sierra Hull, Rhonda Vincent, and more), the tradition of bluegrass is fundamental to who they are. Yet it's their irreverent, adventurous, and audacious tendencies as next-gen performers that light a fire under audiences. That edge was forged in the crucible of a dive bar outside of Nashville, TN that they all but single-handedly put on the bluegrass map during their seven-year weekly residency.

After hundreds of sets and countless late-night jams, East Nash Grass has coalesced into a hair-raising ensemble. Their love of both bluegrass and the absurd can be felt on their new album All God's Children (Mountain Fever, 2025). Expectations of what should and shouldn't work are challenged as the paradox of authenticity is revealed. This is no mere imitation of bluegrass. This is bluegrass.
