Bring your children for a fun session of storytelling at our library. We will feature Kodomo no Hi (Children’s Day) and Haha no Hi (Mother’s Day) in our stories and a full body samurai armour replica will be on display. We will also be making mini koinobori (carp streamers) for you to take home!Although the level of selected picture book will be best suited for 4 to 8-year-olds in the Japanese school education system, this event welcomes all primary and secondary school children with a good understanding of spoken Japanese. Children under 12 must be supervised by a guardian.
The library has a rich collection of Japanese children’s books (over 1,500 volumes) and books on Japanese language education as heritage (community) language. The majority of the collection is available for loan.
児童を対象にした日本語読み聞かせと簡単な工作のセッションです。図書館の日本語絵本・紙芝居コレクションの中から、幼稚園児から小学校低学年向けの作品を選んで行います。
今回はこどもの日と母の日をテーマに取り上げ、後半ではご家庭にお持ち帰りになれる、小さなこいのぼりを作る活動を行います。また、等身大のよろい飾りを展示をする予定です。ぜひご来館ください。
当館では児童書（約1,500冊超）及び、継承語（繋生語）教育に関する図書を数多く揃えております。この機会に是非ご利用ください。
