Would you like to learn to teach Yoga that respects the ageless and ancient teachings of India, but is also informed and backed by the latest science?This 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training course in Sheffield will give you the confidence and know-how to teach Yoga safely, inclusively and professionally.
The course begins in September 2026 and finishes in November 2027. We will have 8 weekends at Sheffield Yoga School, 1 residential weekend (2 nights) at Unstone Grange in Derbyshire, and 30 hours online.
We do not teach a particular style of Yoga, but rather, we use the knowledge that we have gained over our decades of practice and teaching experience to provide a well informed, thorough, interesting and fun training.
This training will give you all the basics of what you need to begin your journey into teaching, including:
*Safety and inclusivity in Yoga
*Applied anatomy, functional and somatic movement
*Anatomy and science of breathing
*Pranayama and the Energy Body (Chakras, Nadis, Prana Vayus)
*The science of mental wellbeing
*Relaxation and meditation techniques
*Yoga philosophy and history
*Business skills and professional conduct
