The Y6 200 hour YTT is a launchpad for personal and professional growth. Gain knowledge in functional body alignment, anatomy, yoga history & philosophy, and how to lead a safe, fun, empowering class experience. Yoga Teacher Training FAQs

I'm not sure I want to teach yoga. Is this Teacher Training right for me?

About 50% of people that sign up for our 200hr trainings have no intention of teaching post training... they simply want to deepen their personal practice. Making the decision to teach after the training is completely up to you.

Can I do Teacher Training if I'm new to yoga,

or can't do "advanced" postures?

Yes. The training is about diving deeper into the study and practice of yoga, and as long as you have the interest in learning more, you will get much value out of this experience.

What is Yoga Alliance?

Is this a Yoga Alliance approved program?

Yoga Alliance is the unofficial governing body in the yoga world. They help set standards for accreditation in order to ensure a student's investment in an advanced training is worthwhile. YogaSix is a registered yoga school with Yoga Alliance.

What can I do with my 200-hour certificate after I complete my requirements?

Completely up to you! Some of our graduates go on to teach group yoga classes at Y6 studios, other studios, as well as work with corporate and private clients. Others just want to deepen their personal practice.

Will I only learn one hot set sequence in training?

No. YogaSix offers a 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training. You will learn how to sequence safe and supportive classes, rather than following a single flow.

What if I have to miss a session?

Make-up sessions are available for up to three missed sessions at a small additional cost.

Will I regret taking the leap and signing up?

Absolutely not. Students who take our program consistently say it's one of the best decisions of their life. We can't wait to support you in your journey!
