Come and join us for a special Christmas yoga retreat day at Ness Gardens on 20th December 9:30am – 4pmA relaxing day of yoga, a delicious vegan afternoon tea and entrance to Ness Gardens
Suitable for all abilities. So even if you’ve never tried yoga before and are interested – come along and give it a try.
Join us for a full day of yoga and relaxation. We will practice our yoga in the Hulme room at Ness Gardens which has beautiful views across the gardens.
Your day will include:
- Yoga to stretch out physical tension and strengthen your muscles
- Yin yoga – a mat-based meditative practice in the afternoon
- Breathing practices/pranayama to calm the body and mind, and reduce stress levels
- Discussion and practice of yoga / mindfulness concepts to deepen your knowledge
- Guided relaxations to deeply relax the body and mind
All yoga mats and props are provided. Feel free to bring your own if you have them.
Total cost for the retreat day including vegan afternoon tea, refreshments and entrance to Ness Gardens is £85
Refunds will only be given if the event is cancelled by the organiser.
PLEASE NOTE THIS TICKET INCLUDES ENTRANCE TO NESS GARDENS – you are free to wander the gardens in the lunch break
Where will the Yoga Retreat Day be held
The retreat day will take place in the Hulme Room in the Ness Gardens visitors centre. Paul or Steve will be at reception to meet you and direct you to the room.

How to get there
Ness Botanic Gardens is located approximately 17 miles south of Liverpool and 10 miles north west of Chester, on Neston Road. You’ll find Ness Gardens nestled between the villages of Ness and Burton.
Whether you’re travelling to Ness by road, rail or the National Cycle Network, we’ve got you covered. The gardens are also extensively signposted.
By car or coach;
Please use postcode CH64 4AY in your sat nav.
Travelling from Liverpool;
Take the M53 to junction 4 and follow the brown signs.
Travelling from Chester;
Join the A540 out of Chester and follow the brown signs.
Travelling from Manchester;
Take the M56 to the end of the motorway, leaving the dual carriageway at the A540 exit. Take the third exit at the roundabout to join the A540, then follow the brown signs.
Travelling from North Wales;
Take the A550 turn off (signposted Birkenhead) from the A494, turn left onto the A540, and follow the brown signs.
Public transport
By bus;
The 487 bus runs from Liverpool to Ness Botanic Gardens every half an hour, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, the 488 bus follows the same route. Both services are operated by Arriva.
The 22 bus runs between Chester and West Kirby every hour, Monday to Saturday. Alighting at the Royal Oak public house in Little Neston, it’s just under a mile’s walk to Ness. The 22 service is operated by Al’s Coaches.
By train;
If travelling by train, alight at Neston Station on the Bidston to Wrexham line and transfer to the 487 bus (Monday to Saturday) or 488 bus (Sundays).
Cycling;
Ness Gardens are located approximately two miles south of national cycle route 56 and the Wirral Way. They are also approximately one mile north of national cycle route 568.
Bicycle racks are available at Ness to secure your bike.
