Yoga Nidra, also called the technique of “psychic sleep,” is a meditation practice that will aim to give you relaxed awareness. Most of the time we are in a state of anxious awareness, because of all of the information we process each day living in our modern world. Yoga Nidra is an ancient yoga technique that focuses our conscious and subconscious processes unite. You will lie on a yoga mat for the practice. No prior meditation experience necessary to participate. It is a great practice for people at all levels of spiritual development adapted by Swami Satyananda Saraswait from the traditional tantric practice of nyasa.An accomplished musician and healer Karin Marcello, MA was born into a lineage of artists and spiritual practitioners. Karin is a western and Indian flutist from a musical family that has four generations of psychic mediums, artists, channelers, and healers. She studied in New York, Chicago, India, Spain, and Indonesia. While in India, Karin went to Rishikesh to study Ashtanga yoga with Louise Ellis and joined the afternoon classes of yin yoga and yoga nidra. The yoga nidra practice deeply impacted her life. She did it consistently for years and now wants to share it with others. Finding inner equilibrium and maintaining calm neutrality in the face of any challenge was one of the most notable benefits.
