Yoga Nidra or yogic sleep is a powerful meditation technique producing a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” stage. The body becomes completely relaxed and you become systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions. Yoga Nidra is among the deepest possible states of relaxation, while still maintaining full consciousness. The practice has been found to reduce tension and anxiety, while promoting deep rest and relaxation that isn’t found in an average meditation practice.Acupuncture is a holistic healing system based on the principles of East Asian Medicine - one of the oldest systems of medicine in the world. Tiny needles are inserted into the body to enhance the flow of energy, improve circulation and calm the nervous system. Acupuncture addresses imbalances and restores harmony on mental, physical, emotional and spiritual levels.
This combination workshop will utilize Yoga Nidra and acupuncture to help you find inner peace, calm your nervous system, enhance your breath work and relax your body. Through the use of conscious deep breathing techniques and only a couple of acupuncture needles, your muscles and tendons will relax, allowing for improved circulation, better sleep and less anxiety.
Each participant will also receive ear seeds that extend the effects of the acupuncture treatment and go home with you.
