According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 1 in 3 adults in the United States report not getting enough rest or sleep every day, and an estimated 50 to 70 million Americans have chronic, or ongoing, sleep disorders.Proper sleep is an integral component of physical and mental health, and according to Ayurveda (Yoga’s sister science), is one of the three pillars of health.
Yoga and Ayurveda have much to offer us in the quest for healthy and sound sleep.
This workshop will focus on tools and tips from the wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda to support your better sleep.
We will engage in lecture, discussion, inquiry and practice (āsana, pranayama, meditation) with focus on tools and tips from the wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda to support your overall health and well-being through an improved relationship with sleep.
