Yoga at the Peak

Description: Join Rangers Rachel, Whitney, and Karsten in this mountaintop yoga session. Yoga at Arabia Mountain offers an emmersive, outdoor wellness experience at the top of our stunning granite outcrop.

What to expect: We will gather at the Nature Center before walking along the PATH, cross at Klondike, and head to the Peak. Ranger Whitney will lead a relaxing, yet rejuvenating, yoga practice to help empower and prepare you for the day ahead.

After returning to the Nature Center, an assortment of tea and water will be available.

Program leader: Your guides will be Ranger Rachel (Park Naturalist at Arabia), Ranger Whitney (Admin at Arabia), and Ranger Karsten (Summer Ranger at Arabia).

Where to meet: Find Ranger Rachel at the Nature Center (3787 Klondike Rd).

What to bring: Wear comfortable footwear, dress for the weather, bring a refillable water bottle, and please bring your own yoga mat. We will be practicing on granite, so feel free to bring an extra mat if you need more cushion.

Remember that strollers, carts, and other wheeled items are not allowed on top of the mountain. Come prepared to carry anything you want to bring.

Restrooms: There is a public bathroom located in the parking lot at the Nature Center as well as a portapotty in the South Lot at the base of the Mountain.

Recommended ages: This program content is designed for adults, but all ages are welcome.

Dogs: This program is NOT appropriate for dogs, so please leave your pup at home.

Weather contingency: This program will be canceled if there is rain or other inclement weather.

Walking distance: Approximately 2 miles

Exposure: This walk is half under shaded tree canopy and half in full sun.
