Yoga and art in the Park

Bring the whole family for a FREE, fun-filled experience combining gentle yoga, mindful movement, and creative expression!

Join Nyah Larson, local yoga teacher, artist, and founder of Imagination in Motion, a City of Maricopa grant-supported yoga and art program that encourages creativity, connection, and self-expression.

We’ll begin with beginner-friendly yoga stretches to get our bodies moving and our creative juices flowing! Then, we’ll explore one of Nyah’s favorite art activities: Flower Self-Portraits! Imagine yourself as a flower and bring your personality to life through colorful designs, playful lines, and creative exploration.

This family-friendly experience encourages you to:

• Explore gentle movement and body awareness.
• Express yourself through art and imagination.
• Practice mindfulness in a welcoming, judgment-free environment.
• Discover how movement and creativity can support emotional well-being.
• Enjoy quality time creating and connecting with your family!

Our activities are guided by trauma-informed, somatic principles, where every activity is an invitation and there’s no right or wrong way to participate.

All ages and experience levels are welcome! Come as you are, bring your kids, and enjoy a little movement, creativity, and community connection.

Yoga mats will be provided, but you’re always welcome to bring your own if you prefer!

We’ll also share information about upcoming yoga classes and future Imagination in Motion adventures.

Come move, create, and see what blooms! 🌼
