Bringing together local businesses, sole traders, North Yorkshire Council, and the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, this event champions collaboration and community and for this event we have a keynote speaker!

Tony Watson is the Head of Economy and Tourism at North Yorkshire Council, leading the Visit North Yorkshire team to support and grow the county’s visitor economy. Appointed in March 2025, Tony brings extensive leadership experience from roles including Director of Sales, Marketing and PR at First Direct Arena in Leeds and York Barbican, and senior positions in the Lake District National Park where he oversaw communications, marketing and commercial operations for major visitor attractions. With a deep passion for tourism and placemaking, and strong ties to the region through community work such as fundraising with the RNLI, he is committed to collaboration with local businesses, partners and organisations to drive sustainable tourism
