Put your strength to the test for the Dubuque Community YMCA's Bench Press Contest Saturday, July 13! Men will be bench pressing their full body weight, and women will be expected to bench 50% of their body weight. This is a RAW contest only. Wrist straps and chalk are allowed. $40 registration and $5 for spectators.
Weight Classes:
Lightweight (0-165lbs)
Middleweight (166-215lbs)
Heavyweight (216lbs +)
Weigh-ins will be performed the morning of the contest.
1st & 2nd place finishers will receive a medal!
A warm-up area and platform bench will be provided in the gymnasium during the competition.
Meet Rules:
1) Your rear end cannot leave the bench.
2) Elbows must be locked to count as a full rep.
3) One warning will be given if incorrect form is spotted. If the action is not corrected after the warning, the rep(s) will not count.
