YIPs CHC: Golf Day 2026

Time to dust off your polo shirts and meet us on the green! ⛳
YIPs Christchurch is stoked to bring back the time-honored Golf Day for 2026!
Hosted at Templeton Golf Club, tickets include drinks throughout the day (on and off the course), lunch (with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options available), and finger food during prizegiving.
A bus will be available for those who request pickup, transporting attendees to the course and returning to the CBD afterwards for anyone wishing to continue the celebrations.
All skill levels and ages welcome

🎩 Dress code: Golf attire (optional) - Prizes for best dressed.

Please note, there are limited Golf Cart Hire tickets available, and these must be bought alongside a General Admission ticket. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Additional Details:

• Teams will consist of approximately 5 people.
• 9 holes with the course split into the front and back 9.
• Ambrose with Shotgun Start - No golf experience required.
• All beverages provided and delivered to you via golf cart (no BYO).
• Lunch provided prior to teeing off. Finger food during prizegiving.
• Golf clubs are not required. If you have a set, we strongly encouraged that you bring them.
• Prizes for closest to the pin and longest drives.
• Teams are randomly allocated unless requested.

How Ambrose works:

Ambrose is an extremely social format. Each player in the team tees off, after which the team selects the best drive and marks the best ball’s position using a tee. All players then pick up their balls and fire their next shots from there, placing their ball within a club-length of the marker if it’s on the fairway, or dropping to within a club-length if it’s in the rough. If a player's ball was selected for the last shot, they cannot play the next shot. This process continues until the ball is holed. The best ball score is recorded for the hole and the lowest total net score wins.
