30th Club Anniversary

After much discussion we have agreed on a scaled down format of the Christchurch Woodturners Association’s 30-year anniversary celebrations and planning and preparation continue.
An invitation is extended to all current and past members of the Canterbury Woodturning Association and their partners to a fun celebration of 30 years as a successful woodturning club and of the graduation of our 2024 and 2025 Woodturning Certificate graduands.
The afternoon – evening event will be held on Saturday 26th of September 2026, at the Cashmere Club, 88 Hunter Terrace, Cashmere.
The afternoon activities will include team turning competitions, guest demonstrations and other activities. It will conclude with judging of the Grand Show Table of your best works from the last 3 years. We are working on providing options for the long-suffering, non-turning partners!
Pre-dinner drinks will be followed by a buffet dinner, celebratory speeches and presentation of certificates to the recent graduands.
It is intended as an opportunity to connect and reconnect with other members of the Christchurch Woodturning community.
So, lock it into your diaries and watch this space, and your emails, as we release more information over the next couple of months.
