Join Angela Minard for The Fundamentals of Teaching Yin Yoga: a 10-Hour weekend training designed specifically for yoga teachers who are ready to explore the art and science of Yin Yoga.Weekend Schedule:
Friday, 4/17: 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Saturday, 4/18: 1:00 - 5:00 PM
Sunday, 4/19: 11:00 - 3:00 PM
Participants learn the key principles of Yin Yoga, including the concepts of finding an appropriate edge in each pose, cultivating stillness, and holding postures for extended periods.
This training introduces the anatomy and physiology relevant to Yin Yoga, with a particular focus on the connective tissues—fascia, ligaments, tendons, and their role in maintaining flexibility and joint mobility.
Training will be provided on Yin Yoga postures and archetypes including alignment, variations, and the use of props. Each posture is studied to understand its benefits, target areas, and energetic effects.
Learn how to design effective Yin Yoga classes, taking into account the flow of energy through the body, the meridian lines, and the subtle body. There is an art to creating a container of mindfulness while offering a safe and supportive environment for students to explore their own inner experiences.
