We are delighted to tell you that our beloved friend, seasoned yoga teacher trainer and the long time assistant of Paul Grilley, Joe Barnett will be visiting Finland again next summer! This time Joe will guide us deep into Taoist and Yogic techniques in a weekend long course for yin yoga teachers and practitioners.Taoist and Yogic techniques overlap in many ways. One of the most profound intersections lies in the techniques that draw one’s consciousness and energies into the “sacred hidden river” within the spine, techniques used to understand oneself deeper and to potentially unlock and access dormant powers, including the power to understand the mysteries of life and death a little more.
In this course, we will use the ancient and mysterious Nei Jing Tu (Map of Internal Alchemy) as a tool to discuss, organize and practice chakra meditation. We will also integrate chanting, discussion, and contemplative meditations of The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and The Bhagavad Gita and other spiritual poetry into our collective map as well as our unique individual maps.
This course is for brand new practitioners or advanced yogis. I will guide the class through the theories and practices from the foundations and up, including the study of Yin Yoga three phase model which will be the practice that guides us through most everything else we do.
