Yin yoga focuses on the body’s connective tissues—like ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia network—unlike more dynamic Yang practices like Vinyasa yoga, which primarily work the muscles.On an energetic level, Yin yoga enhances the flow of energy (or chi), which is key for overall health. The practise also offers great benefits for mental and emotional wellbeing. This class combines yin postures with short guided meditation and some gentle breathwork practises for optimum relaxation.
With the support of bolsters and blocks I'll guide you in a sequence of floor based postures that focus on the lower body areas like the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, and lower spine, which are rich in connective tissue. Postures are usually held for 3-5 minutes and we largely focus on relaxing the muscles, allowing the deeper tissues to stretch safely.

Mats and props provided, but you may like to bring your own blanket and cushion.
Wear stretchy or loose fitting comfortable clothing.
