Would you like to guide others in the deeply nourishing practice of yin yoga? To create pathways for introspection and healing? To get certified to teach with an experienced yin yoga teacher/teacher trainer? Let's soften, yield and lean in.YIN RESILIENCE is a 50 hour teacher training focused on the body-mind connection and how we can use yin yoga for healing, balancing, and the building of resilience. We’ll learn about the nervous system, polyvagal theory and stress recovery. We’ll explore ways to enhance the therapeutic quality of our offerings by incorporating techniques from restorative yoga and somatics. In our practice, we’ll explore a variety of somatic meditations and that can be woven into a yin yoga offering. We’ll refine teaching skills with an emphasis on trauma-sensitive facilitation.
As with all of our yin trainings, studies will be grounded in the Functional Approach of Paul Grilly – the perfect platform for fostering autonomy and mindful interoception on the mat.
- Polyvagal Theory
- The Stress Response Cycle
- Key Restorative asanas, principles, propping and variations
- Sequencing yin yoga with restorative elements
- Introduction to trauma-aware teaching principles – creating a sense of safety and empowerment through your guidance
- Somatic release concepts, techniques and moving meditations for yin yoga classes
- Review / Overview of the Functional Approach to Yin Yoga, Paul Grilley Lineage
- Practicum
- Self exploration through daily practice
Warm welcome on this transformative journey ❤

Who are these trainings for?
These trainings are for serious practioners, teachers-to-be, and previously educated yoga teachers who wish to expand their skillset/deepen their understanding. All four of our 50-hour yin yoga modules can also be taken independently by new or established yoga teachers.
Our foundational 50-hour module covers everything you need to safely and effectively guide students in the practice of Yin Yoga. The expanded 200-hour program delves further into specific aspects of yin, adding layers of depth while building more advanced facilitation skills and enriching your personal practice. Complete the four modules below and you’ll be eligible to register as RYT200 with Yoga Alliance.
Please not that while the training is conducted in English, Leta has a pretty good understanding of Finnish language (and other course participants usually help make sure nothing is lost in translation :)).
Individual modules may be booked online at https://yogarocks.fi/fi/jooga/jooga-workshopit.html
If you'd like to apply for the full 200 hour program, you should have at least one year of committed yoga practice.
Please send an application to [email protected] with:
- Your full name and email address
- Your yoga background
- Any previous relative experience (teaching, previous education or trainings etc.)
Leta LaVigne (E-RYT 500, YACEP) is the founder of yogaROCKS studios in Lahti and one of Finland's senior yin yoga teachers. Teaching full time since 2008, Leta has immersed herself in the practice and teaching of yin yoga since 2010. She has been greatly influenced by long term studies with Yin Yoga founder Paul Grilley, as well as other Grilley lineage teachers like Jo Phee. As a devoted Grilley student, she teaches yin with a functional approach rather than relying on alignment rules, enriching her offerings with a somatic dimension.
An experienced teacher trainer, Leta has educated and mentored many teachers in Finland and Estonia over the years. She has also written multiple articles on yin yoga for the publication Yoga Journal and taught internationally through the 2y Functional Yoga School.
Still teaching full time herself (not only teacher trainings), Leta infuses her trainings with a wealth of practical experience, humor and warmth, . She has a love of helping new teachers identify and develop their unique strengths.
