A blend of the quieter practices of Yin and Restorative yoga. At peace the body can repair and instinct be heard. Expect longer held, more supported asanas and therapeutic pranayama.
Of the body tissues, Yin – calm and receptive – focuses on connective fascia, opening tight, dense areas that can build over time from static habits or repeated training. Restorative asanas are entirely supported, permitting deeper rest to help regulate the body systems, from nervous to endocrine to immune. The physical form inextricably links to the mind, to the spirit. Each month, the focus is appropriate to the season.
