NATS ATC Supervisor Adam Spink will describe the events that resulted in the crash landing of flight BA38 on Heathrow Runway 27L on 17 January 2008. Adam was on duty in the Tower on the day of the crash.
While many may have seen the ‘Air Crash Investigation’ TV programme or read the AAIB reports on the crash and thus be familiar with what caused the incident, the perspective from air traffic control is less well known. Adam will describe both the lead up to the crash, and the aftermath, as seen from the control tower.
Our lecture programme is open to non-members.
To join Online (via zoom) an E-ticket (£4) must be obtained in advance and the ticket link will go live in May.
Tickets on the door by cash/card. Drinks provided for a donation.
Venue is the Fleet Air Arm Museum and all monies go to supporting the museum.
