Yellow Wasabi was born in Canton, China, 1999, has been learning Guzheng since childhood, graduated with Bachelor of Ecology and Master of Neurosciences from Paris-Saclay University, France. Influenced by her father, professor of Physics and her mother, professor of Fine-Arts, she believes sciences and arts are united. She chooses to use biology and new media arts to explore this changing world.Yellow Wasabi discovered experimental music, especially Harsh Noise in 2023. She connects Guzheng with pedals and Max/MSP programs, innovated the performance through biometric modules, microscope, AI movement tracker and interactive 3D projections. The insupportable noise is sonification for negligible things in the life.
Yellow Wasabi wants to wake up people by pushing their physical limits and reconnect their body with the environment. For Yellow Wasabi, arts are human cognition fossils. She wants to transform the force of life struggle to a joy of vivacity, brings people happiness by sciences and arts.
Yellow Wasabi has played at China, France, Belgium, Netherland, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Switzerland and Greece, supported by European Council, French National Art Foundations and private foundations. Yellow Wasabi is active in European and Asian experimental music scenes, contemporary art spaces and scientific congress, resident artist of EU and national projects, junior scientist.

The Käkkyräs Unlimited:
Improvisaation with string instruments made of branches and roots of different trees found in the forest - mixed with old electronics by Jukka Nousiainen and friends
I used to live in Sastamala in the old school house surrounded by old forest (now sadly cut down) and collected some branches that wind had blown off from trees and made my own kind of string instruments from them, calling them KÄKKYRÄs. Then one day I was visiting a house in Nokia where some old man had died recently and it appeared that he had collected LOADS of this kind of big branches and also roots so I took them all home and made some more instruments. I love old 50's-60's electronic music, made with signal generators and tapes so here they go together, sounds of the old forest and sound of the past modern times. Electric forest..?
