Yellow Wasabi is visiting Stockholm!
Yellow Wasabi, evolutionary biologist and new media artist in Paris. She combines sciences and arts to investigate the human position in the digital industry and ecological landscape. She uses computer programs and biological modules to innovate Guzheng, traditional Chinese harp; she shapes sound through AI motion capture and interactive projections. The noise of life is transformed into immaterial fossils of cognition that resonate with the audience's emotional experience, improvising collectively to create an inclusive space.
Yellow Wasabi is artist-in-residence at GRAME and GMEM (French national music creation center), Ateliers Médicis, Artzoyd Studios, Instants Chavirés in France, EMS in Sweden, Theatre in the Palm in Greece and Schoenberg Society in Estonia. Her digital and VR works exhibited in Guan Shanyue Art Museum in Shenzhen, China, Turku Art House in Finland, Grand Carmes in Brussels, Belgium. Her participative project is held in Malta and in Croatia, integrating local natural and musical heritage. Her research about innovating traditional instrument performance is published on IRCAM FORUM, SysMus25, CFMAE. She is funded by Creative Europe, Culture Moves Europe and Malta Culture Directorate.
