About this Event
Our year-end picnic / annual meeting (and bird walk, of course!) will occur at Princess Place Preserve. Get tickets by May 9.
Time: 10:00am-1:00pm Bird walk at 10:00 AM; Lunch at 11:30, Annual Meeting at Noon.
Cost: Free for member households (national, state, or local); $5 suggested donation per person for non-members. Membership is only $20/household and lasts for one year; you can join online here or bring this form with your payment to the picnic.
Bird Walk: Princess Place is the “Jewel of Flagler County.” We will view many types of birds along Pellicer Creek, from wading birds to warblers and rails and raptors. Accessibility: low - often walking on grass, sand paths, and shell paths (some sidewalk). eBird: 191 species
Annual Meeting: (brief!!) meeting of members to vote for the board for the 2024-2025 season. If you're interested in serving on the board, please fill out the Board Interest Form here.
How to Find Us: Drive all the way to the end of Princess Place Road (after you cross the bridge, keep going), to where the historic house and barn overlook Pellicer Creek. Park along the fence.
What to Bring: The chapter will provide sandwiches, beverages (soft drinks & water) and paper products. Please bring lawn chairs, a cooler and a dish to share! Suggestions include (but are not limited to):
- Sides:
- Stuffed / deviled Eggs
- Fruit, Potato or Pasta Salad
- Cole Slaw or Baked Beans
- Chips or Veggies and Dip
- Sliced Cantaloupe or Watermelon
- Pickles and Olives
- Desserts:
- Cakes, Cupcakes, or Cookies
- Cobbler or Banana Pudding
- Other sweet delights!
