Join us with our special holiday Mega-Escalation league!A casual event, these leagues involve one match played each twoi-week round for 8 total weeks. Everybody wins! Top half of standings win $20 store credit, bottom half wins two 12mL pots of paint.
Format: 40K Matched Play League, 2-week rounds for 4 rounds of Swiss matches.
Army Requirements: See Below
Duration: 4 rounds, pairings announced the week prior.
Game Day: Sundays, re-scheduling permitted within each round's time-slot.
Entry Fee: $30 - $20 from the event will form the prize pool and the remainder will go towards table maintenance and improvement. Bring a new player into the league and entry is instead $25 for BOTH PARTICIPANTS.
Prizes: Top half of standings will win $40 store credit and bragging rights, bottom half win two 12mL paint pots.
**Army Requirements**
1 - Players are expected to have all necessary rulebooks to play their army, which usually requires a set of the Core Rules and a codex at minimum, along with any relevant errata/FAQ documents.
2 - Armies must be Battle-Forged. Miniatures used must be majority Games Workshop parts, but kitbashing and conversions are welcomed.
3 - There is no painting requirement (note, for scoring both players get 10 points each round as we do not require it), however armies of the same codex with a different subfaction must be visibly different. (Example: A player uses Imperial Fists and Raven Wing Space Marines. The different models must be easily discernible for which faction they belong to.)
4 - Mega-Escalation: The first round of the event will be a 1,500pt game, with each subsequent round growing by 500pts to a final total of 3,000pts for Round 4! Army construction will be using the Core Rules, Codex, and most recent point updates and Tournament Companions as of December 1. Units you add to your army must remain in your army, but you may add or replace wargear and upgrades each round. Warlord traits and Relics are similarly flexible.
5 - Missions will be from the pariah Nexus GT Missions for Strike Force. On round 3 and 4 Strike Force missions will be played on Onslaught boards: 44"x72".
**Additional Info**
Pairings and mission will be announced on each Monday at the beginning of the round. Report matches to the front counter or message the store discord.
Games may be played earlier in the round before a designated game day, but games cannot be made up that do not occur during their round.
If one player is able to show up to their game and the other isn't, the present player wins.
Average Victory Points acquired will be used as a tiebreaker for standings.
Wins from opponent's not attending their match will use the average points earned of wins amongst the entire event for tiebreaker purposes
