YEAR 3/4 Futsal Competition (INSPIRE), Morning session

Year 3/4 Futsal - Morning Session (Arrival 9.45 a.m., competition 10 - 11:30 a.m.)

This is an INSPIRE event - For those who enjoy football but do not play for a club outside of school and has not represented school in other football competitions.

INTENT - Develop confidence and competence within physical activity/sport skills and create positive experiences

A 5 a'side fast paced game that develops skills and tactics. The game encourages teams to make more passes as well as think more tactfully.

Squad of 8, with 5 on the pitch at any one time (Can be all boys, all girls or any combination)

• Played to lines and play is restarted with a kick in, corner or goalkeeper’s THROW - must be taken within 4 seconds.

• Goalkeeper can leave the area and players can enter the area.

• Goals can be scored from anywhere.

• Ball can be played over head height.

• 5 fouls (we may reduce this to 3 depending on length of the game) before a penalty is awarded.

• Fouls are the same as football

• The goalkeeper cannot receive the ball more than once from his team until it touches an opponent.

B/C will be offered if spaces are available.

Please bring bibs in case of kit clash.

Please remember schools are responsible for their own first aid provision and should ensure they have access to medical and emergency contact details.

Spectators will be able to stay in the cafe area but will not be allowed to stand around the pitches. As the curtain will be used to separate the 2 pitches, teams playing on the far side will not be in view. Please share this with spectators before the day to avoid disappointment.
