Yeah, Write 04MAR26 - RESIST: Creative Resistance: Returning Authorship

Yeah, Write blends somatic awareness, creative writing, and collaborative energy in a community setting. Each month follows a theme.

Our theme for March 2026 is RESIST.

Come and join us on a guided, community-centered writing workshop that explores resistance as a creative, embodied practice. Through thoughtfully curated prompts, short readings, and optional sharing, participants are invited to examine what they resist, what resists them, and where resistance becomes a source of clarity, care, or transformation.

Rather than striving for polish or performance, this session emphasizes presence, curiosity, and authentic expression.

Open to writers of all levels, this workshop offers a supportive space to write from lived experience, reconnect with creative agency, and practice staying with what matters, on the page and beyond.

Yeah, Write is a community-centered, healing-infused workshop where participants dive into poetry, embodiment exercises, and gentle creative writing exploration. It blends expressive writing, somatic grounding, and artistic reflection - a sanctuary for emotional release, creativity, community and empowerment.

It's located in the restored Commanding Officer’s Quarters (1 Commandant’s Lane, Benicia, CA 94510) which is located within the historic Benicia Arsenal. From I-780, exit at East 5th Street, turn toward the water, then turn left onto Military East.
