Join us for an inspiring evening hosted by Professor Sir Ron Cooke, President of the York Consortium for Craft and Conservation, as we honour the next generation of talent at our Annual Bursary Awards Ceremony and John Shannon Memorial Lecture.

This year’s John Shannon Memorial Lecture, held in collaboration with York Civic Trust, features Nicola Duncan-Finn, Trustee of National Charity Heritage Crafts and Associate Director of Heritage and Social Impact at Oculus Management. A trailblazer in the field, Nicola is committed to working collaboratively with others to shape the national agenda for specialist craft and conservation skills. Her talk will explore how a ‘people and skills first’ strategic action model, connected through regional networks and coordinated national advocacy, could provide a more sustainable foundation for both our built heritage and the intergenerational ‘living heritage skills’ that its future depends on.
