YassKara: Costume Party & Variety Show

BaklaBayan invites you to our 4th annual variety showcase, "YassKara: Costume Party & Variety Show!"

This year's event is inspired by the "Masskara Festival" held in October in Bacolod City, Philippines, celebrating resilience and joy through smiling masks, street dance parades, and other activities. The word "MassKara" combines "mass" (crowd) and "cara" (Spanish for face), symbolizing "many faces" and "the city's optimistic spirit despite hardships."

We wanted to bring that spirit to our city and celebrate queer joy with all of you! Dressing up is optional, but we encourage you to come through with your favourite Halloween costume! There will be mask decorating, arts and crafts, amazing queer and trans Filipina/o/x talent taking on our stage, and a dance party following the show. This will be a dry event: light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

THIS IS AN 18+ EVENT. Doors open at 5:30pm, show starts at 7:30pm.
