YAS Charity Abseil 2025

ABOUT THE EVENT.

*IMPORTANT* PRIOR TO SIGNING UP FOR THIS EVENT PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE READ THE HEALTH WARNING NOTICE BELOW, PROVIDED BY BIG BANG EXPERIENCES TO ENSURE YOU CAN TAKE PART.

The event will take place at Wainhouse Tower.

Address; 9 Wakefield Gate, Kings Cross, Halifax, HX3 0HB.

On Saturday 31st May 2025.

Time: 13:00 - 16:00 (individual time slots will be given prior to the event).

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to you abseil time.

Free Parking on a public road near to the Tower.

Members of the Charity and Big Bang Experiences will be there to welcome you, guide you through the process and cheer you on!

You will need to climb 369 steps to access the viewing gallery and abseil point where staff from the abseil company will give a safety briefing and ensure you are harnessed correctly. A waiver be provided and will need to be signed prior to the abseil.

Refreshments will be provided by the Charity for participants.

On completion you will receive a certificate to celebrate your amazing achievement!

SIGNING UP

The £65 (per person) registration fee covers the cost of this event.

We are asking participants to raise a suggested amount of £200, and participants who raise this amount or over will have the option to request a refund of their registration fee.

After signing up you will receive a registration pack including confirmation of your abseil time, site information and directions plus any additional information required for the day. Ahead of the event you will receive your YAS Charity T-shirt.

Refunds will be available up to 28 days before the event.

WHAT WILL I BE SUPPORTING

By taking part and raising funds you will be helping Yorkshire Ambulance Service Charity Engage with Communities across Yorkshire, Support Colleagues and Volunteers in the Yorkshire Ambulance Service and help save lives across Yorkshire.

£100 can help us to provide 50 pillow partners to aid in community CPR training. £500 can help us to provide a Community Public Access Defibrillator to a community as part of our CPAD funding scheme.
