🎉 Bury Steps Walking Group – Last Wellbeing Walk of 2026 🎉
As another fantastic year of walking draws to a close, we'd love you to join us for the final Bury Steps wellbeing walk of 2026. Let's finish the year the way we know best, with good company, beautiful scenery and plenty of fresh air!
📅 Sunday 6th December 2026
📍 Start & Finish: Dog and Partridge, 30 Chorley Lane, Charnock Richard, PR7 5ES
📍 what3words: ///tight.tunes.comet
We'll set off from the Dog and Partridge and make our way towards the stunning Yarrow Valley Country Park via Dob Brow, Butterworth Brow and Birkacre Lane. Once in the park, we'll enjoy a pleasant figure-of-eight route, taking in woodland paths, waterside views and peaceful countryside.
Around halfway, we'll stop for refreshments, a catch-up with fellow walkers and, of course, the traditional group photo to mark the end of another memorable year for Bury Steps.
After our break, we'll return via Sharatts Path, making our way back to the Dog and Partridge, where a roaring fire, warm drinks and a cosy atmosphere await.
🥾 Distance: 3.4 miles
⛰️ Elevation Gain: 279 feet
This gentle winter walk is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the festive season, stretch the legs before Christmas, and reflect on a wonderful year of adventures, friendships and shared miles together.
👣 Walk Leader: A Sorfleet
👣 Backmarker: TBA
Whether you've joined us on every walk this year or are thinking of coming along for the very first time, you'll receive a warm Bury Steps welcome.
❄️ One final walk, one final group photo, and one final chance to enjoy the great outdoors together before we turn the page on 2026. Let's end the year the Bury Steps way... with laughter, friendship and plenty of fresh air! ☕🥾🎄
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the conditions on the day.
