Celebrate America's 250 and America's Independence Day with the City of Yankton and friends. Join us for multiple events that span the entire day. Enjoy a variety of family friendly and FREE events taking place in Riverside Park and beyond.
Start your All-American day with sunrise Yoga on the upper deck of Meridian Bridge at 6:00am. Bring your own Yoga mat if you have one because this Yoga event is very popular!
At 9:00am until noon, stop by the Dakota Territorial Capitol Building in Riverside Park for the Junior Ranger Program presented by the National Park Service.
If you venture out toward Lewis and Clark Lake, enjoy the Gavins Point Yacht Club's annual boat parade at 11:00am at the Lewis and Clark Lake Marina.
If you are staying in town and looking for wet and wild- go to the Star-Spangled Swim at The Huether Family Aquatics Center with discounted day rates, games, and fun from 11:30am to 5:00pm.
The All-American Bean-Bag Tournament in Riverside Park has registration at Noon and the tournament begins at 1:00pm.
Nothing is more American than the national pastime on the Fourth of July so stop and enjoy the "Firecracker Classic” amateur league all-star baseball game at Riverside Baseball Stadium from 4:00pm – 6:00pm.
Then it is time to settle in to Riverside Park for the evening. Food and beverage trucks and stands open at 5:00pm. Ben’s Brewing Company will have a stand with adult beverages.
The concert will start with the Tara Faber Band on stage from 6:00pm – 7:00pm.
There will be a Special 250th presentation from the stage at 7:15pm – 7:45pm.
The headliner Ivory takes the stage from 8:00pm to 9:45pm.
The All-American Fireworks Show is at 10:00pm. Displayed off the upper deck of the Meridian Bridge over the wild and scenic Missouri River so every seat around the park is a good one.
Then Ivory is back on stage 10:30pm – 11:00pm.
