EVENT DESCRIPTION:
We will have a guided tour that lasts approximately 1 hour. Yanks Air Museum hosts one of the world’s largest aircraft collections, most of them airworthy. Painstakingly rebuilding these titans of American aviation history is hard work, with mechanics and craftsmen working by hand (sometimes for decades) to return craft to their original state. They have more than 200 aircraft here from a Wright flyer (the only replica) to jet era aircraft. There is even a lunar lander trainer, space and air travel uniforms, and more. As part of the tour the students will get a chance to go into the Restoration hangar to see the work of restoring these aircraft to museum quality and visit what they call The Boneyard, which is where they store all the aircraft which will eventually be restored. They can also offer an open cockpit experience where they open an aircraft allowing the students to sit in the pilot seat.

*🡺NO-SHOWS: If you make a reservation and then do not attend a field trip it means that we still had to pay for your
spot, another family who wanted to come was denied the opportunity to attend and we may be “banned” from future
attendance by the provider.
*🡺A “habitual field trip truant” may lose field trip privileges for their family.
🡺LATE-SHOWS: Many of our field trips are very time sensitive and if you are late, we will make every effort to get you in. In some cases, if you are not there when we pay for the program we may not pay for your reservation which of course could determine if you get in or not. When an event is filled to capacity it can be difficult to get extra tickets. So please, allow plenty of time for traffic when planning your trip time.

The Event Listing may be "publicly" viewable; HOWEVER, the event is only for HOMESCHOOL students in the 12th grade and below. Parents/guardians must accompany all minors. Our events are NOT "Drop-off" events. Adults must sign-up with a student. We do not offer an "Adult Only" option for our Events.
