The Pakahua Nación & Kalpulli Ayolopaktzin invite you to a magical night of ritual, storytelling, sound healing, & art under the Full Moon with visiting artist & Traditional Knowledge Keeper, Temachtiani (Master Teacher) Illhuikayotl. Come early to engage in a special opening ritual offered by Tlanezi Teatro Ritual, a night market curated by The Well @ Tecolote, body art by RedsBodyArt, and a 7 Warrior Foods Bar by Kalpulli Ayolopaktzin.

Illhuikayotl is a Transnational Artist and Traditional Culture Bearer sharing their signature MesoAmerican Storytelling and Sound Journey offerings preserving the teachings and lineage of globally renowned Master Flute Maker, MesoAmerican musician and Iconic Cultural Revitalist , Temachtiani Xavier Quijas Yxayotl.

ALL ARE WELCOME!! All IndigeBaddies, allies, community members, art & culture lovers are invited to evening of mystic moon & water medicine under the Full Moon.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

This is an Indigenous led gathering inviting community to connect with the water, the moon and each other in an immersive ritual & musical journey to help us grow our advocacy and kinship to the Sacred Waters of Yanawana at a time when our waters are under attack. WE INVITE ALL WALKS OF LIFE TO COME ENJOY INDIGENOUS BEAUTY & ARTS!

COMMUNITY ALTAR:

Traditional protocols will be honored through the collective creation of a community altar. PLEASE BRING TOBACCO, FLOWERS, FRUIT, CANDLES INCENSE, HANDMADE GIFTS, PLANTS, HARVESTS FROM YOUR GARDENS, SEEDS, ETC.., for the altar and as an offering to the water and our Cultural Hosts & Stewards.

THIS IS A SOBER & SUBSTANCE FREE EVENT

ALL AGES ARE WELCOME!! Please note there is no childcare available on site. Caretakers, please keep children under your supervision since this is an evening event and it will get dark in the park. A designated area during the sound journey will be available to ensure a pleasant experience for all participants.

Proceeds of this workshop will directly benefit a generative economy practice of supporting Traditional Culture Bearers and Knowlege Keepers. In the spirit of traditional protocols, Temachtiani Illhuikayotl, the Pakahua Nación & Kalpulli Ayolopaktzin maintian active kinship ties and relations with Coahuiltecan, Carrizo Comecrudo/Esto'k Gna, Apache and local Indigenous tribal & intertribal community as part of their ongoing preservation of Indigenous lifewways.
