Yalda Night marks the winter solstice, the longest night of the year, and has been celebrated for centuries in Iran as a symbol of hope, light, and renewal. As the darkness begins to recede and days slowly grow longer, loved ones come together to share warmth, tell stories, read poetry (especially from Hafez), and enjoy delicious seasonal treats like pomegranate, watermelon, nuts, and sweets.
