Yakkerboo Colouring Competition @ Pakenham Library

Yakkerboo Festival is nearly here!!

Do you know about the Pakenham tradition of Yakkerboo? It's a unique community festival that Pakenham locals have cherished for decades.

Yakkerboo Festival has been bringing the Pakenham community together to since 1976, celebrating the birthday of the mythical bunyip and Pakenham icon; Mr Yakkerboo. The two day event includes a parade, carnival, rides, face-painting, market stalls, food trucks and fireworks. This year the festival is moving to summer, with events over Feb 14 & 15.

Once again, this year there will be a colouring competition. Entries are available from the library and you can return them before February 15 at 4pm. They will be displayed from the point of entry and in the week following Yakkerboo, and then winners will be chosen and contacted. Prizes are sponsored by Pakenham Toys in Main St.
