YA Book Talk: We Became Wild by H.D. Carver
About this Event
Join us for a visit from H.D. Carver in celebration of her new novel We Became Wild!
Carver will be in conversation with author Kate Korsh to discuss her work.
About the participants:
H.D. Carver lives in Southern California with her family of artists. When she’s not writing, she can be found wandering trails or getting lost in a bookstore.
Kate Korsh is an author of books for children of all ages, from elementary to teens. She has also worked as a marriage and family therapist and a public school teacher. She lives with her husband, her two children, and their two cats in Los Angeles. Kate believes in magic, ghosts, and the healing power of cheese.
About the book:
Seventeen-year-old Lottie Mitchell is a liar. She might also be a horrible person—because someone good wouldn't have caused the death of her best friend, Val. Messina, Lottie's other best friend, has her own secrets to worry about—she's running from her terrifying, abusive stepfather. When the friends learn that Val had planned to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, they set off into the desert with Val’s ashes and her beloved copy of Wild to fulfill her dream.
