Are you a person impacted by addiction - whether in recovery, seeking sobriety or have someone in your life who is addicted? Y12SR is a program designed to supplement and support 12 Step recovery work by integrating yoga and yoga philosophies with the solid self study of the 12 Steps. Y12SR sessions are composed of an all-recovery meeting (topic-discussion) followed by a themed yoga practice to help us be embodied in our recovery. Why do this? We believe that the more tools in our toolbox, the more sure and steady will be our path out of isolation and self-harm to recovery, wholeness and connection. Like recovery, yoga is a practice, not an act of perfection. We do not contort into pretzels; rather we explore our edges, our depths, and our limits to find a sense of ease in our bodies, hearts and minds. We ask that you join these sessions sober to gain the most benefit from the practices.
This is a donation-based class. No-one is turned away, you are more important than your money. If you are able to make a financial contribution in addition to bringing your energy to the space, Y12SR suggests anywhere from $10-$20.
When you register for class, please select the option to pay when you arrive. The instructor will collect donations in cash or process payments using the fitDEGREE app.
