Widely praised for his bold interpretations of contemporary music, Tendler has been described by The New York Times as a “daring pianist” whose performances combine adventurous insight with striking clarity and command. His deep connection to Feldman’s work makes him a singular voice in bringing the composer’s visionary sound world to life.

This special program honors the 100th anniversary of Feldman’s birth, inviting listeners into the composer’s luminous, introspective landscapes—performed by an artist uniquely attuned to their depth and nuance.

The festival is presented by the FIU Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts, with support from the City of Miami Beach, the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center at Florida International University, FIU Miami Beach Urban Studios, and The Betsy South Beach Hotel and The Betsy Writers Room. The Avalon Hotel Miami Beach on Ocean Drive is the official host hotel for the festival.
