Subject matter experts will be speak on the emotional and psychological impacts of post-traumatic stress and trauma experienced by first responders and provide them with tools they can use to maintain an emotionally healthy lifestyle and increase their awareness of issues such as PTS, depression, addiction, and suicide.
Keynote Speakers:
Jeremy Stalnecker: Jeremy is a Marine Corps Veteran and is the CEO /co-founder of the Mighty Oaks Foundation. Mighty Oaks provides peer-to-peer resiliency and recovery programs that serve as the catalyst to assist our nation’s first responders and veterans who are dealing with challenges related to the struggles of daily life, work-related experiences, and the symptoms of post-traumatic stress (PTS).
Dr. Erica Birkley: Dr. Birkley is a first responder psychologist that specializes in trauma, PTS, first responder couples, anger, partner aggression, sleep, and recovery and resilience to stress as it relates to the first responder community, their agency, and their partners.
A FREE event open to:
- All City of Xenia Employees.
- All Greene County First Responders.
- Spouses/significant others of attendees are encouraged to attend.
