Keppoch is excited to be hosting a XC Ski Maintenance and Tips Workshop at the Keppoch Lodge with “That Ski Guy” Ike Whitehead.Cross-country skiing is an activity that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Ike will provide an informal session on how you can get involved, topics to be discussed are equipment selection, how to maintain your equipment, wax vs less wax, and clothing requirements. Whether you are new to cross-country skiing or need a refresher, this workshop is a great opportunity to ask questions and receive hands-on practice.
SESSION DETAILS:
Saturday:
10:30am - 12:00pm: Beginner's introduction to XC skiing and waxing clinic
12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lunch to be provided
1:00pm - 2:30pm: XC Ski tips and tricks on the trails
Sunday:
10:30am - 12:00pm: Review of XC ski waxing and short ski tips on the trail
Equipment: Please bring your own XC ski equipment to the workshop. If you don't have any equipment, Keppoch has some to rent and will need to be booked in advance to ensure availability. Antigonish Town and County is another option to rent equipment.
Cost: Free for members; $12 for non-members.
