X-Ray Science & Art Workshop

In this NEW workshop, we'll learn about radiographs (x-rays), while combining the science side of it with an art project. The history, basic science, safety, and various applications for this technology will be discussed. Our supporting hands-on activity will be to assess imitative sea turtle patients, inspect real x-rays, and then match them and diagnose their illness or injury. This activity keeps students engaged while carefully searching for clues!
Our art project will not only better support our understanding of this topic, but will allow students to create reverse drawings, working from dark to light, by laying down a variety of mediums to build up and define highlights, rather than shadows.
