The annual Labour Weekend Art Exhibition is returning 22 – 26 October 2026, at the Lake Wānaka Centre.
This much-loved exhibition is a highlight on the local arts calendar, drawing visitors from across the Upper Clutha and beyond to view and purchase original works from emerging and established artists. Each year, the exhibition showcases a vibrant mix of painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, textiles, sculpture and fibre arts, celebrating the creative diversity of our community. The exhibition includes artist demonstrations and working artists throughout the weekend.
This year also features a new section "Think Twice" with a focus on sustainable materials.
Opening Night Gala & Awards Ceremony:

Opening Night Gala and Awards ceremony 5pm – 8pm, Thursday 22 Oct.
General admission: $30.
Purchase tickets via Humanitix or at the door.
(Note: Exhibiting artists pay a discounted rate of $25.)

Door sales only, $10 entry.
Door sales only. We accept both card & cash.
Free for children and students
Weekend entry is free for exhibiting artists.
This years Guest artists are Michelle McIvor, and Odelle Morshuis Working artists are Tracy Rountree, Lee van Der Geest, Gilly Sheffield and Sarah Freyburger,
