Agamemnon - Imperial Reaches of The Ghoul Stars

Several reports have reached us from Agamenmon which have caused concern among my peers.
Firstly a new star in the heavens which shines brighter than most, local monitoring stations have established that this *fake* star has established an orbit around the planet, yet no contact has been made, also any attempt to engage the fake star have proved fruitless.
Secondly several rapid… outbursts of new fauna have sprung up across the planet, vast forests where arid plains once stood empty, it's hard to believe, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes as we drew into visual range, the planet itself looks vastly different to our pic records.
Then lastly, the Star, as we entered orbit the thing plummeted to the surface, as if it had been waiting for an audience, or perhaps witnesses. The impact was… subtle, insidious.
Dear lords, I hope my initial report reaches you with all speed, Emperor willing, we make for the surface, next report to follow with haste.
