ABOUT THE DAY
A relaxed and supportive opportunity to practise jumping full courses. Perfect if you:
- Want to try a new height
- Are putting a new horse through a full course
- Are a beginner or less experienced rider wanting to ride a properly built course
Courses will be built by a qualified course builder, with help on hand throughout the day.
HOW IT WORKS
Ride full showjumping courses
Choose to: Ride the same height twice, OR
Ride one height, then wait for the course to raise
No time restrictions – once belled out, the goal is simply to get around the course. Jumps can be adjusted if needed to help you and your horse.
HEIGHTS
🕐 Start: 1:00pm with 30cm heights if nominated . Raising in 10cm increments
🏁 Finish: Last rider at 1 metre
COST
💰 $20 – Per horse for 2026 Financial Pony Club Members
💰 $40 – Per horse Non Pony Club Members
Non-members must complete a Day Participant & Liability Waiver Declaration. Riders under 18 require a guardian signature.
ALL RIDERS MUST HAND IN A COMPLETED HORSE HEALTH DECLARATION AND REPORT TO SECRETARY’S OFFICE BEFORE MOUNTING.
Protection is afforded the Day Participant under the PCA Public Liability Policy. No Personal Accident cover is provided with this Levy
RESERVATION OF RIGHTS: The organising committee reserves the right to: cancel any class or event, combine or divide classes according to numbers nominated & rules governing splitting of groups, alter advertised times, transfer competitors between sections of a class & to refuse entry with or without stating a reason.
DISCLAIMER: Neither the organising Committee of the event nor PCQ accepts any liability for the damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. THE FINAL RESPONSIBILITY for the suitability of the mount, saddlery, & equipment rests with the rider or their responsible adult (see PCQ General Rules)
OPEN DAYS - All participants must comply with competition, equipment & dress rules of Pony Club with regard to Helmets, Boots, Spurs & Equipment.
