About this Event
Join us the second Saturday of every month in 2024 for FREE activities with artists from the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning. Separate sessions for children in grades K-2 and 3-5. Each class will be from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Join us every month or pick and choose the topics of interest for your child. Class sizes are limited and registration is required for each session.
October's classes get everyone in the Halloween spirit with monsters and masks. Come enjoy this art session before you head outside for the annual Trunk or Treat event. See descriptions for each session below:
Saturday, October 12
12:30PM -1:30PM
K-2nd Grade: Monster Mashup
Children will create their own monster character using a special art technique by coloring a coffee filter with washable marker and creating 2 “watercolor” prints by sandwiching it between white paper. Once the prints are dry, participants will use this painted paper, construction paper, and glue sticks to compile a creative monster character. They will then work to develop this character and its background story.
3rd – 5th Grade: Mask Making with Claudio
Participants will turn recycled paper and cardboard into amazingly creative masks.
