Join the American Legion Hale-Combest Post #315, Wylie, Texas, for the 16th Annual Memorial Day Salute to Heroes, 11:30 a.m., in Olde City Park. Families and children are welcome to this always memorable event. Take time out of your day to remember those who have sacrificed all as we celebrate 250 Years of Freedom. Experience the rifle salute, flag raising, placing of the wreaths, flag folding ceremony by the ROTC, Wylie Honor Guard, Pipes and Drums, and taps.
Other activities during the day include a Half-Staff Flag Ceremony at 7:45 a.m., and Flag Retirements by Boy Scout Troop 78/FBC Wylie from 8:30 -10:30 a.m.
Bring lawn chairs or blankets.
