About this Event
AANHPI Heritage Hike at Timpanogos Cave National Monument
Join Women Who Explore Utah and Timpanogos Hiking Co. for a special evening hike celebrating AANHPI Month (Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month).
On Tuesday, May 26 at 5:30 PM, we’ll hike through beautiful American Fork Canyon while learning a little history along the way. Timpanogos Cave National Monument was discovered in 1887 by local pioneer Martin Hansen, and during our hike I’ll also share stories about some of the first Asian communities who helped shape Utah’s history.
We are only going to the entrance of the cave and not going inside of it. All tours end at 3:30 pm.
✨ Sign up by May 24 to enjoy fun Japanese snacks after the hike—I want to make sure I bring enough for everyone!
🎖️ Participants will also earn the Timpanogos Cave badge for completing the hike.
