BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF EVENT:

Winter can be a magical time to explore Grand Forks! Join us for an afternoon of exploring downtown during the magical holiday season. We will walk downtown and stop at downtown shops, grab a hot cup or coffee or cocoa and end with axe throwing. Coordination for meeting locations for all events, as well as weather-related postponements or cancellations, will be done through the GF/EGF Area Facebook Messenger Chat.

Due to local guidelines and regulations, Women Who Explore will be limiting the number of attendees per event. Each member attending the event will be required to register through Eventbrite.

In the event you successfully register, and then are unable to attend, please release the ticket so that another member may attend. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jen Johnson directly!

WHAT TO BRING:

• Pack a water bottle and snacks if you wish.

• Dress in layers appropriate for the day’s weather.

• Warm clothing such as mittens, hat, and scarf.

• Shoes with good traction.

• A light backpack to put layers in as you shed them.

** PLEASE NOTE: Ambassadors are not first aid certified. This is a casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please plan accordingly.**

EVENT GUIDELINES:

By registering for this event, participants agree to abide by the guidelines set forth by Women Who Explore which include:

• Practice self-awareness and do not attend if you have had any flu-like symptoms, exposed to or have tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days.

• Post-event: anyone who develops flu-like symptoms within 14 days after joining an event should contact the ambassador and Women Who Explore at [email protected].

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you are registering for one of our group events, we ask that you are 100% committed to attending when you register. If you reserve a spot and are unable to attend, please cancel as soon as possible on Eventbrite. We ask that you try to cancel a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of the event as this allows other women who would like to attend the ability to plan to join us.
