There will be off-leash dogs on this hike. If dogs cannot be contained and are bothering other participants or their animals, the dogs need to be leashed.

FOR HIKING EVENTS:

Due to local guidelines and in accordance with Leave No Trace Principles, Women Who Explore limits the number of attendees for hiking or outdoor events. To ensure we follow local guidelines, every attendee must register through Eventbrite. If you successfully register and are unable to attend, please release the ticket so another member may attend. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Josie Hagan directly!

WHAT TO BRING:

• Pack your full supply of water for the day.

• Pack snacks & a light meal.

• Dress warm & in layers. Consider wearing a base layer & bringing an extra. • Warm gloves & hat

• Rain coat top layer

• Shoes with good traction

• A light backpack to put layers in as you shed them

• Handwarmers & toe warmers (optional)

• Headlamp or flashlight

• Personal hygiene kit

If you are attending an outdoor event, please make sure to brush up on the Leave No Trace Principles.

** PLEASE NOTE: Ambassadors are not wilderness first aid certified. This is a casual get-together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please plan accordingly.

EVENT GUIDELINES FOR SICKNESS:

Please be mindful of other members attending the events. If you have developed cold or flu-like symptoms leading up to the event, please cancel your spot in Eventbrite and notify the ambassador hosting the event.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you are registering for one of our group events, we ask that you are 100% committed to attending when you register. If you reserve a spot and are unable to attend, please cancel as soon as possible on Eventbrite. We ask that you try to cancel a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of the event, as this allows other women who would like to attend the ability to plan to join us.
