WWE Illinois: Polar Explorers Polar Plunge for Special Olympics

LTR Region is Region A Location: Olson Lake at Rock Cut State Park

Get ready for a chilly thrill at the Polar Explorers Polar Plunge! Join us in person for this cool event supporting Special Olympics. Dive into icy waters and make a big impact while having a blast. It’s the perfect mix of fun and fundraising, so bundle up and bring your adventurous spirit!

*Note this is a community event. We will have our own WWE group of women, but there will be men present at the event.

4. Click WWE IL: Polar Explorers
5. Create your individual fundraising page
6. YOU MUST RAISE AT LEAST 100 DOLLARS TO PLUNGE ON PLUNGE DAY
7. Sign the Women Who Expore Waiver prior to the event
8. The meeting location for registration will be sent to attendees

LIABILITY WAIVER: Friendly reminder that it is required to sign the e-waiver before attending your first Women Who Explore event. Please sign on an annual basis. Link here: https://tinyurl.com/wwe-form (updated with the 2026 waiver)

WHAT TO BRING: Dress like a Polar Explorer (use your interpretation!)

• Pack water

• Small backpack with plastic bags for wet clothes

• Recommend wearing a bathing suit under clothing/costurme

• Layers for changing, Warm hat and gloves.

• Sweatshirts, sweatpants, warm layers.

• Shoes to plunge in (old sneakers, sandles with a back. Footwear needs to stay on your feet)

• Additional sneakers for changing after plunging

• Snacks (some food is available)

• Towels to dry off

EVENT GUIDELINES FOR SICKNESS: Please be mindful of other members attending the events. If you have developed cold or flu-like symptoms leading up to the event, please cancel your spot in Eventbrite and notify the ambassador hosting the event.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are registering for one of our group events, we ask that you are 100% committed to attending when you register. If you reserve a spot and are unable to attend, please cancel as soon as possible on Eventbrite. We ask that you try to cancel a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of the event as this allows other women who would like to attend the ability to plan to join us.
